Privacy

Updated 14 October 2026. The website and relay are online; Apple purchases are being prepared. Infrastructure and support retention periods are still being verified before the game’s public release.

Your games stay on your device

Saved games, settings and replays are stored locally. You do not need a Terms of Surrender account to play solo. Exported files are saved to a location you choose and are not automatically sent to our team.

The website

This version of the site contains no advertising, analytics tools or tracking cookies. Images, fonts and videos are served by the site itself. Your language choice is saved locally in your browser so it can be remembered on your next visit. Hosting necessarily receives technical connection information, including your IP address. The proxy records IP addresses, timestamps, requested URLs, response status, browser information and any referrer to diagnose incidents and secure the service. TOS proxy logs rotate daily and are checked for deletion hourly: target retention is 14 days for access logs and 30 days for error logs, with a one-day cleanup allowance. Access is restricted to technical administration. This rule covers the proxy’s active log storage; retention of any infrastructure backups and technical diagnostics still needs to be qualified.

Multiplayer

The relay exchanges the commands, room settings and synchronization hashes needed for a duel. Rooms are held in memory, not in an account database. Stopping the relay interrupts matches. Your IP address is visible to the connection infrastructure; a third-party relay’s practices depend on its operator. Our public relay is operated by Sponge Theory on its own infrastructure in France. Commands remain in memory during the session and are deleted after it closes and the reconnection window expires. Local Wi-Fi mode, being prepared for the next version, hosts the room on the creating device and requests local-network permission from the operating system.

Game Center

Game Center sign-in is optional and handled by Apple. If you choose to sign in, locally recorded campaign victories may be sent to Apple to unlock achievements. Your Game Center identity is not sent to the relay or included in saved games. Apple processes its service’s data under its own policy.

Apple purchases

Distribution is planned exclusively through Apple’s app stores. In-app purchases are not yet publicly available. In the version being prepared, Apple processes payments; the game verifies StoreKit transactions and entitlements to unlock content and restore purchases. These transactions are not sent to our relay. Neither the game nor this website receives your payment card number.

If you contact support, we receive your email address and the information you send us to handle your request. Contact Sponge Theory at contact@sponge-theory.ai with questions about your data or applicable access, correction or deletion requests. Avoid including unnecessary personal information in screenshots or diagnostic files.
